A Dreamy Summer Wedding at the Rose Barn: Amy & Jacques’ Big Day
There’s something timeless about a summer wedding—especially when it takes place at the breathtaking Rose Barn in Jeffreys Bay. Amy and Jacques’ celebration was the perfect mix of rustic elegance, golden light, and raw emotion. As their photographer, I was honoured to witness every joyful tear and quiet moment.
The Setting
Nestled among tall trees and open skies, the Rose Barn was the perfect venue for their love story. Its wooden textures and soft white drapes created a cozy, romantic vibe that complemented the couple’s earthy colour palette.
The Details
Amy walked down the aisle in a soft, flowing gown with delicate lace detailing, while Jacques kept it classic in a tailored navy suit. The floral arrangements featured eucalyptus, wildflowers, and white roses—simple, organic, and beautifully arranged.
The Emotion
The moment Amy saw Jacques, her whole face lit up. I live for these reactions—the unfiltered, real emotion that can’t be staged. From their tearful vows to the roaring laughter during the reception speeches, every moment was full of soul.
A Photographer’s Favourite
One of my favourite shots? Amy and Jacques sneaking away for golden hour portraits in a nearby field. The sun dipped low, casting a soft glow across the landscape as they danced barefoot in the grass. Pure magic.
